It has come to my attention that many ZADR fans are in fact, ignorant of the boy/boy love words used in the fandom. So I, Darth Bandeet, have decided on a whim to make this journal of defining words for joo! Anybody know of any words I'm missing, please let me know, as I'm getting these off the top of my head right now Xp

Definintions taken from the online Urban Dictionary ~Allaiyah

UST - Unresolved Sexual Tension. It is a common mechanism in fiction, which enables the relationship between characters to build up a powerful erotic charge without actually becoming sexual.

Rule 34 - If it exists, there is porn of it. No exceptions.

Slash - Word used in fanfiction to denote homosexual pairings. Usually male/male, sometimes female/female AKA femmeslash.
Often used interchangeably with yaoi or yuri.

Shonen-ai - is a Japanese terminology literally translated into "shonen" = boy and "ai" which means love. It denotes male homosexuality, and, unlike its correspondent yaoi, shonen-ai is used in regards to depictions of the romantic side of a relationship between two males. "Shonen-ai," the term, is used in fanfiction to warn of male homosexuality.

Yaoi - is a Japanese word, which is actually something of an acronym. It comes from "YAma nashi, Ochi nashi, Imi nashi", which means "no climax, no point, no meaning".

In speech and writing, it's a slang term used to refer to stories that focus on homosexual relationships, usually between men. Yaoi tends to involve graphic sex, often with little or no plot. The female equivalent is yuri.

A related genre is shonen-ai, or "boys' love", which tends to involve less sex and more cuddling (and plot).

Shotacon - or Shota for short! It the love/sex between 2 little boys or a little boy and a grown man or a little boy and a grown woman! Basically an extention of pedophilia Xp

Emo - unenthusiastic melodramatic 17 year olds who dont smile, listen to high pitched overwrought lyrics and inaudible guitar rifts, wear tight wool sweaters, tighter jeans, itchy scarfs (even in the summer), ripped chucks with favorite bands signature, black square rimmed glasses, and ebony greasy unwashed hair that is required to cover at least 3/5 ths of the face at an angle.

Bishie - Short for bishounen, translated roughly meaning "pretty boy." Used for attractive male anime characters, and sometimes real life. Generally they are sort of girlish looking.

Fanservice - In terms of Anime, the least extreme form of nudity or sexually based angles. This may include panty shots, minor nudity, underwear shots, bare chests and other such things added solely for comic effect or pleasuring (servicing) perverted fans.

Masochist - A person who gets pleasure from pain. It is quite possible for a person to be masochistic without being submissive.

In other words, a person can be a seme, and still like pain, but can also like pain but not like to inflict it.

Hurt/Comfort or H/C - Situation where one person goes through trauma/pain/hurt (i.e. Zim finds out the Tallest hate him) and the other enters the scene and comforts their hurt (i.e. Dib smexes Zim up to make him feel better) Xp

Gender Bender - A fanfiction in which the author changes the sex/gender of a person/character. (i.e. portraying Zim and Dib as girls/Gaz as a boy)
